What is sugaring?

Sugaring (also known as Sugar Waxing) is an all natural method of hair removal that gently pulls unwanted hair from the root.  Sugaring consists of only sugar, water, and lemon. It is an ancient method of hair removal dating back to early Egypt and is the first form of epilation known.  Sugaring is more gentle on all skin types, including sensitive, because it only adheres to the hair and dead skin. There is little to no risk of pulling your live skin, which is one of the main reasons sugaring hurts less than waxing. With sugaring, the hair is getting pulled in the direction of hair growth, which is also better for anyone prone to ingrown hairs. When the hair is being pulled in the direction of hair growth, every single hair is being pulled from the root.  With waxing, threading, shaving, etc., the hair is often cut at the surface, so the results don’t last quite as long as sugaring. Sugaring can also lead to permanency when done regularly and correctly over time!
